13.5" Antique MEISSEN-era CANDLE MIRROR Cherub & Floral
Artistically sculpted and incredibly detailed with hand-formed flowers and leaves, this Meissen-type china candle sconce with oval beveled mirror is all-original with no damages and no repairs. The piece measures 13.5" tall, 13.5" across and 5" front-to-back
at the sconces. All of the beautifully colored tiny blossoms and leaves are intact, and if there are any edge chips they are undetectable to the naked eye! There is an under-glazed hand-painted mark in cobalt blue resembling an "H" at the top of the frame behind the cherubs. The original black-painted wood backing with brass hanging hook is still attached to the back. Sconce arms were separately molded and permanently affixed capped by a leafy flourish topped with roses. This is a gorgeous piece!!
