34.25" Antique CHINESE Export UMBRELLA STAND
Hand-turned on a pottery wheel, this gorgeous piece is in mint condition with no cracks, no damage or repairs.From the 19th century. At 34.25" tall, the circumference is 26.75", made in heavy white china glazed in cobalt. This may not be Chinese Export but, it is early Chinese. The design is our wise men gather in the garden under bamboo trees, their mirrored counterparts continue the pattern. The main design is stenciled, with hand-painted details and washes. Around the top and bottom edges are stenciled with lace patterns. Sturdy enough for umbrellas, it also serves as the perfect vase for large flowers.
