8” RARE Madame-Signed 1957 Alexander-Kin GRADUATION BKW
Sweet Wendy is dressed for Graduation in dotted white nylon. Extra special to this doll is her original wrist booklet signed "Madame Alexander" in ink! She is #399 in mint tagged condition & all-original outfit, a bend-knee walker. Wendy is marked "ALEX"; there are no damages, no splits or breaks and no repairs. The shiny tosca wig is in original longer flip curls with bangs, pulled up from temples into a curly topknot with tiny velvet blossoms. Make-up is perfect: red pouty mouth and subtly rosy cheeks, fluttery blue sleep eyes with molded upper lashes and painted lower lashes, and fine eyebrows to match her wig. The "Alexander-Kins" tagged gown has an empire waist, with RARE ribbon. Dainty lace ruffling at neck, armholes, skirt & hem, plus gorgeous pink and embroidered floral-striped ribbon sash. Underneath are a lace-hemmed crisp cotton petticoat and taffeta panties; her original scrolled diploma is still tied to her wrist with pink satin ribbon. Fine nylon socks and pristine pink velvet side-snaps with fuzzy soles complete the costume. Confection!!
