8” Alexander-kins #785-1957 MIB Organdy SCARLETT BKW
SCARLETT wears one of the most beautiful costumes from the Alexander "Gone With The Wind" series. Bent-knee walker Scarlett is #785 from 1957; she has never been played with or undressed. Perfect brunette flip wig with hair pulled back into a topknot of curls and perfect paint with big rosy cheeks enhance her deep blue fluttery sleep eyes. Gorgeous white organdy full-skirted “Alexander-kins” tagged gown – from the opening sequence of the movie, is trimmed in red satin ribbon lace insertion and dainty ruffled lace at bodice, cuffs and double-tiered hems (very very slight yellowing on left sleeve). The white straw bonnet, turned under in back for shaping, ties with softest tulle and crowned with white cotton and red velvet blossoms. Scarlett’s crisp nylon petticoat and cotton pantalets are hemmed in lace. Rare red suedecloth side-snap shoes with fuzzy soles and nylon fine-knit socks finish the ensemble. Very good condition box with perfect label: “Scarlett 785"; age-darkened and missing one skinny sidepiece. Just look at that face!!
