10" German AM #345 CHARACTER Glass Eyes & Closed Mouth

Extremely hard-to-find, especially in this tiny size, Armand Marseille’s very rare #345 Character, circa 1926, has a perfect bisque head incised “Germany // A 2/0 M // 345.” Brown glass set eyes are surrounded by finest painted lashes under dashed brown brows. Rosy cheeks and somber closed mouth enhance her sweet face. Her newer wig is honey-blonde mohair with curls to her shoulders and a side-part. The composition and wood body has the original finish, no repairs, and is jointed at neck, shoulders, elbows, knees and hips. The sweetest antique red & white striped organdy dress is trimmed with red rickrack and covers antique underwear: chemise, petticoat and pantalets. Cotton knit stockings and vintage oilcloth ankle-tie shoes complete the costume. This little charmer is such a treasure in this petite size; from non-smoking home.
