15" 1953 Madame Alexander #1552 WENDY BRIDE Crispy MIB
Madame Alexander's beautiful Wendy Bride walker is in crispy mint-in-box condition, all-original with hatbox. This gown #1552 is only shown in the 1953 MA catalogue. She has perfect face-paint with rosy cheeks and dreamy blue sleep eyes with full hair upper lashes. Her perfect shiny red hair is pulled up from the temples and held with the original brass bar, and cascades into a pageboy at her shoulders. Her body has an exquisite matte finish, with no splits or damage. Wendy Bride's "Madame Alexander" tagged gown has a white satin fitted bodice with short puffed tulle sleeves and attached skirt of tulle, plus attached underskirts of nylon net and taffeta. Taffeta lace-hemmed panties snap in back. The stiffened cotton net cap with blossoms at her cheeks has a tulle veil gathered across the back of her head. Gathered lace and blossoms with satin ribbon streamers form her bouquet, while pink net stockings, a perfect lace-hemmed pale blue satin garter, and cream satin center-snap fuzzy-sole shoes complete the outfit. The "Madame Alexander // New York" hatbox, with curlers & comb on card, and a tiny hair care fold-over card is included. Wendy Bride's original box has a colorful label stamped "1552", and "Madame Alexander // Fashion Academy Award" gold foil sticker. The box has seen better days and needs repair, but retains the original tissue and cardboard neck brace. Wendy Bride is gorgeous and pristine as if she came from the 1953 factory through a time machine!!
