13.5" Effanbee c1929 SKIPPY SAILOR Compo&Cloth Original
Adorable Skippy is in all-original excellent condition in his official "U.S. Navy"-stamped cap and grey-blue uniform (somewhat faded, but complete). His head is marked: "Effanbee Skippy © P.L. Crosby (cartoonist's signature)". His hand-painted features are perfect, with sky-blue eyes, long upper lashes, upside-down V eyebrows and tiny bow mouth. Hair is painted dark auburn, and has very little wear, across the back. The cloth body is firm and sturdy, with composition lower limbs: 2/3 legs with molded black-painted shoes and ribbed socks; arms are disc-jointed at the shoulders. He's so cute!!
