21" ABG Fancy Hair PARIAN Fashion LADY 1870s Antique

Incredible French Fashion Ensemble A pale and lovely Parian by Alt, Beck & Gottschalk, the lady is in excellent condition on her original cloth body. She has intricately rolled and poufed cafe au lait hair deeply modeled with an abundance of curls on her forehead and un-painted band across the front & back. The shoulderhead measures 5.5" tall, 5" wide and 3" front to back, with three sew-holes on each side. Her beautiful face has dreamy blue eyes with red & black lid lines under cafe au lait brows, a long patrician nose, rosy cheeks and a tiny closed yet pleasant almost smiling mouth. Her pierced ears have antique 14K pink-gold dangling disc earrings. The original cloth body is solidly cotton-stuffed, stitch-jointed at shoulders, knees and hips so she poses and sits well. Kid-leather lower arms have dainty separately stitched fingers (faux-suede ankle boots and taupe tricot stockings - one stamped "Simmons", have been permanently attached to her feet). Gorgeously dressed for afternoon tea, the lady wears antique doll clothes: tucked, ruffled and lace-trimmed organdy two-piece gown with cerise taffeta sash, tucked lace-hemmed cotton chemise and pantaloons and a pretty ruffled petticoat.
