17" Talking French Bisque TETE JUMEAU Open Mouth SIGNED
No damage and No repair. Beautiful and incredibly charming this Tete Jumeau will warm your heart. Open mouth because the talking Jumeau only comes with the open mouth. If it were closed she couldn't talk. She comes with the square swipe on the back of the head where the store put a label over the Jumeau mark but, it is clearly marked Tete Jumeau in red and the number 7 .
Patented Jumeau RARE sleep eye mechanism attached to the beautiful big baby blue glass paperweight eyes.
To hear her talk you pull one of 2 strings (with bead attached for pulling the string) on the side of her body. She says mama on one pull string and papa on the other. You will see a strip of original leather wrapped around the torso of the body which is where the body was cut to install the talking mechanism and the screen is where the sound comes out. The body is clean with original finish. Beautifully dressed in correct Jumeau style dress made from Antique fabrics. Simply incredible antique silk and lace dress with wrap around antique plumb colored sash. Antique underset with antique shoes. The face is beautifully painted with finely feathered brows, delicate painted upper and lower lashes, cute perky nose with nostril accents and the sweet ready to speak open mouth with outlined lips. Delicate charming teeth on top. Soft rosy cheeks
