22" SFBJ PARIS Kiss-Throwing Walker-Works c1900
An especially charming antique SFBJ kiss-throwing walker, she is in excellent condition: kissing and walking perfectly. The head is marked: “22// SFBJ // 301 // PARIS” with no damage or repair; the composition and wood body has been expertly repainted. Body is jointed. When right arms is posed in the up position a string inside the right arm makes her arm go back and forth for kissing. Her jaunty look is enhanced by lovely original French blue glass set eyes with fine painted lower lashes, feathered brows, plump rosy cheeks, dimpled chin and open mouth with four pearly teeth. Her beautiful human hair wig is brunette in long bouncy sausage curls. She wears an 1890-style peach crepe drop-waist dress with antique lace plastron and hem ruffle. Underneath is a lace-hemmed slip and plain pantalets. A taffeta bonnet with cloth roses and pink ribbon, beige lace stockings and vintage leather high-button boots complete this delightful doll.
