8.5" Early Ca.1850 Milliners Model ALL ORIGINAL Clothes

Covered Wagon hair style with sausage curls Appealing near-mint papier-mache, with molded & painted hair, this sweet young lady is all-original with no repairs. A so-called Milliner's Model, and made in Germany this Covered Wagon has a sweet serene expression with painted blue-black eyes, arched grey brows, tiny slightly smiling mouth and very rosy cheeks. The head has no repainting; or rubs. Her hair is center parted with six sausage curls around. The stiff Milliner-type slim leather body has carved wooden lower arms and hands with separate thumbs; original pinked red paper bands on all limbs. Lower wooden legs with flat feet have red painted shoes. The lovely ORIGINAL dress is finest net gathered at the waist into bodice and full skirt with a silk ribbon sash, fringed ribbon collar and lace sleeves plus lace around the hem. Her underskirt is pink polished cotton over a cotton chemise and dainty lace leglets from knees to ankles.
