Compo 7.5" VOGUE TODDLES Dutch Boy & Girl 1942 MINT
All-original and never played-with, Vogue Toddles Dutch Boy & Girl are from the Far-Away Lands series of 1942. They are in mint condition, exceptionally sweet and never played-with. These two are not marked, but have the R&B faces of the first-year Toddles. Their hand-painted round little faces are perfect with rosy cheeks, smiling pursed red mouths, blue eyes glancing right and tan single-stroke brows. The golden-blonde mohair wigs are soft and full with the girl in braids and a bob for the boy; brown-painted molded hair is underneath the wigs. Both dolls are so charming in their sky-blue poplin Dutch costumes, with cotton knit socks glued into hand-carved wooden shoes with the bottoms stamped "DUTCH BOY" and "DUTCH GIRL". The Boy has full pants, short jacket (missing one button-can be hidden with the scarf) and matching cap, with a sunny yellow scarf around his neck. His sister wears a body blouse and gathered skirt with organdy kerchief, apron and 'winged' cap. Vogue Toddles Dutch Boy & Girl are a rare find in this condition, and it is hard to resist those chubby faces!!
