©1954 ERECTOR SET No. 10072 in Case & Instruction Book
Invented & manufactured by A.C. Gilbert of New York, NY, this large Musical Ferris Wheel set is in excellent condition and from all appearances complete. The "Gilbert // Be An Erector Engineer!" "how to make 'em BOOK" of instructions is "Copyright 1954 // Made in USA". There are instructions for very simple "Junior Engineer", medium-to-build "Engineer's", harder "Power Model", "Rocket Launcher", and "Steam Engine" structures, which look as though they can all be made with this "Musical Ferris Wheel" set containing so many parts and "Erector Electric Engine // A49 // 20 Watts 110-120 volts // AC 60 Cycles Only" motor with original cord & plug in near mint condition. The record "Amusement Park Music // #H9OA-3570" is included attached to its own small turntable that can also be used in other constructions. The original enameled tin case is sturdy and latches firmly, and the whole metal set weighs in at 17.15 pounds. The A.C. Gilbert Company also manufactured the American Flyer train sets. If the set "Amusement Park" is also owned, there can be no end of intricate constructions to be made! This ought to keep someone busy for years!!
