R. John Wright KEWPIE® & TEDDY Club Exclusive MIB 1999
Charmingly rendered in felt by
artist R. John Wright, this 6.25” Rose O’Neill Kewpie and 4” Teddy
Bear are mint in box with certificate of authenticity and registration
card “KT#123”. His number is 123 of limited edition made for club
members only, in 1999/2000. Kewpie has big eyes, tiny blue felt wings,
dark yellow painted topknot, blushed cheeks, belly, hands, hiney,
knees & feet, with paper chest label. He also wears a forest green
mariner’s cap with “RJW Club” on its black satin band. Kewpie’s right
arm is formed to hug the Teddy Bear close, and both are fully jointed
at neck, shoulders and hips. Teddy has the RJW brass button on right
hiney and Kewpie has the button with #123 card tag on his back.
Contained in their felt-lined fitted box with hinged lid, the top of
the box is printed in gold: “Collector’s Club // R. John Wright”. On
the bottom: “Kewpie® 1999 ©Jesco 1999 Under License From Jesco”. Just
too adorably cute to pass up!!
