24” Glass eyed Gebruder Heubach #10532 CHARACTER GIRL
German bisque Circa 1900 to 1910 Gebruder Heubach created such charming character faces and their mold #10532 is a sweet girl with a perfect bisque head, glass sleep eyes and open mouth, on a sturdy jointed composition body. No damage and No repair. The head is incised with the Heubach square mark and “10532 // 10 // Germany”. Feathered brows arch over deep blue glass sleep eyes with upper & lower painted lashes and full upper mohair lashes. There are four pearly upper teeth and her plump cheeks are softly rosy. The newer fine mohair auburn wig has curls all around and a big silk bow on one side. Her body is jointed at neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees & hips. The body has the original finish except for well-done touch-up around the shoulders & neck-hole. She's dressed visiting in antique windowpane open-weave cotton with puffed sleeves, dainty lace edging and satin ribbon sash. Antique pantalets are hemmed with crocheted lace and the petticoat is hemmed in hand-made lace, while a newer petticoat also has crocheted lace hemming. Beautiful brown leather oxfords and cotton knit socks finish the outfit. She's lovable and very well behaved!!
