11” Antique SIMON & HALBIG French Body 1079 AllOriginal
Petite and fantastic, this 11" Simon & Halbig #1079, c.1900, is in all-original mint condition! Head incised: 1079 // Germany // Halbig // S & H // 2 1/2. She has gorgeous brown glass sleep eyes under feathered brows, with full mohair upper lashes and finely painted lower lashes. Plump rosy cheeks, a dimpled chin, open mouth with pearly teeth, and pierced ears, contribute to her cheerful expression. The original pate is composition and still attached to her original dark blonde mohair wig, long and curly with wispy bangs and creamy satin bow. Made for the French market, her high-quality composition body has attached ball-joints, cream-tipped fingernails and small torso of the French bodies; jointed at neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. Her stringing is slightly loose because it is totally original. There is a "B" stamped on the bottom of her left foot. Her darling factory-original outfit has a pink print ribbed-cotton dress under a fancy organdy pinafore. Underneath are perfect matched layers of fine cotton – petticoat, slip & pantaloons, hemmed in dainty lace. Cotton knit socks and tiny blue leather ankle-tie shoes with heels, impressed "0", complete the costume. She's just too precious to miss!!
