8" 1955 SLW #457 Alexander WENDY GOES TO SUNDAY SCHOOL
Gorgeous and crispy mint, Wendy Goes To Sunday School is #457 from 1955. This straight-leg walker, tagged "Alexander-kin", has been displayed in a shadowbox and out of direct light since her purchase, never been played-with and only handled to put in and remove from the shadowbox. Her perfect little face has light tan eyebrows to match her wig, lower painted lashes, rosy cheeks and red mouth. Absolutely perfect light golden-blonde wig has bangs and untouched curls in a flip. The walking mechanism works perfectly and she has never been made to sit. Her crisp pale pink organdy dress has rows of dainty lace on the bodice and insertion in the skirt, with rickrack around the neck. Eyelet petticoat and lace-hemmed batiste panties are underneath. (There are four very tiny pinholes in the back of her panties and one in the back of her dress from being wired into the shadowbox). The lace bonnet frames her adorable face with pink satin ribbon ties and a nosegay of velvet flowers over each ear. Fuzzy-sole black suedecloth side-snap shoes and rayon knit socks, never off her feet, complete the outfit. Breath-taking!!
