14" RARE Steiff #5335/1951-58 PAVIAN COCO Mohair Ape
One of Steiff's rarer wild animals, "Pavian Coco" is in excellent condition. There are no tags and his button is missing (although where it was in his left ear is obvious). He's quite charming with his heavy-lidded amber glass eyes, big smiling open-closed mouth, silver-grey mohair body with extra-long front arms and beautifully airbrushed felt face, ears, & long felt paws. Jointed at neck, shoulders and hips, his long skinny tail is wired for posing. There is some very slight hair loss above and to the left side of his face, and a small thin patch on right wrist, but his shaggy long nylon mane is original and he's very sweet!!
