16" Bisque BYE-LO BABY Glass Sleep Eyes/Body Stamp 1925

Beautiful creamy bisque is enhanced by gentle blue spiral glass sleep eyes peering sweetly out of Bye-Lo’s incredible face. In near-mint condition, the perfect bisque head is incised “Copr. By // Grace S. Putnam // Made In Germany” (with more lettering under the cloth neck). Bye-Lo has big plump rosy cheeks, closed pouty mouth, finely painted lashes and barely-there brows. Original cloth “Frog Body” has swivel neck, floppy shoulders, perfect celluloid hands, and hips that ease into a sitting position, plus most of the original stamp. Bye-Lo arrived wearing this fuzzy-dotted rayon baby gown with lace trimming sleeve cuffs, neck & hem. Underneath is a matching-lace-hemmed long slip, and flannel diaper; a bonnet keeps baby’s head warm, from original family non-smoking home. Thank you for bidding and good luck!!
