9" WEDGWOOD JASPER-DIP Lidded Pitcher Pre-1905 Mark
Rich dark blue with raised white relief portraits and grapevine is in the typical Wedgwood Jasperware fashion. This lidded pitcher is in near-mint condition (the lid banding is slightly loose but not coming off; rubbed silver-plating of the lid keeps the piece from being mint). This is actually Jasper-dip, as the inside is white and china-glazed. Bottom impressed "WEDGWOOD // G // ENGLAND", dating it to pre-1905. The pitcher is 9" tall including the thumb hook on the hinged lid, 6.5" across from handle to spout, and 15" circumference. The profile portraits are George Washington & Ben Franklin, the grapevine encircles the upper rim, and the handle has a braided aspect.
