STERLING SILVER Hallmarked MINIATURES in Livingroom box
Zilverfabreik H. Hooijkaas in Schoonhoven, near Rotterdam, Netherlands, handcrafted marvelous .835 sterling silver circa 1980. These "authentic reproductions of antique Dutch furniture" with the 15"x 11"x 7" roombox are 35 silver accessories and furnishings, all in mint condition with no damages or repairs. These pieces were offered separately, or in the walnut "shadowbox" roombox as they are offered here. There is an advertisement showing the original price was 3,950 at that time. Each "superbly crafted" quality piece of silver is hallmarked – larger pieces bear at least four hallmark stamps while tiny pieces have one miniscule sword hallmark "indicating purity of refinement". Original advertising, and NOV 1977 Hobbies magazine with an article about Dutch silver miniatures, is included along with a price list from 1981. The pieces work spin move and the doors, desk lids and drawers open, teapot lids are removable and the flax spinning wheel is a working marvel. The pieces included are.

There is no common scale to these miniatures – some could work in 1" scale, while others would be perfect in smaller 1/2" scale. For lovers of miniatures and sterling collectors, a treasure chest like this will seldom be obtainable!!
