Ca.1910 Advertising Bisque Mannequin Head Adult Woman
This bisque shoulder head is of an beautiful adult woman defined chin, elongated throat with defined throat hollow, light brown sculpted hair arranged in elaborate curls, with comb marks and coiled topknot, fully sculpted ears, cobalt blue glass set eyes, delicate painted lashes, finely feathered brows. Open closed mouth with outlined lips and nice molded teeth. The original small firing lines at back of hair which is original from the factory is not damage. No damage and no repair. 11" tall including topknot 7-1/2" across shoulders. Bisque shoulder head that would be spectacular if you had a kid leather body big enough to make it into a real person. These heads were believed to be made by Simon & Halbig, and were commissioned by companies to show how your hair or face would look after using their products. The history that came with this one is that it was commissioned by a bathing spa in Aachen Germany as a model of a healthy woman after using their health facility. Circa 1910 stamped on back of head. (Aachener Ges Gesch) and a whole bunch of writing that I can't read.
