14.5" Antique Heubach CHARACTER POUTY #6894 BABY
Such a serious & pouty sweetie! Adorable in this size, Gebruder Heubach's VERY pouty character baby, mold #6894, is in near mint condition on a jointed composition bent-limb baby body. This head has been found on a child body also. So Cute !! His perfect solid dome head is incised: "7 // Germany // 6894", and has a solid neck with molded loop for stringing. Deep blue intaglio eyes with black lid lines under ochre brows, big blushed cheeks and a very pouty closed mouth give this little dear a somber yet lovable expression. His cute body, jointed at neck, shoulders and hips, has the original painted finish with no repairs and only small paint rubs on the fingers. Baby wears a fully lined midnight-blue velvet mariner's jacket, which brings out the color of his eyes, trimmed with white soutache and pearl buttons. Underneath is a charming shirt and pants over a cotton slip. A notable costume for this huggable little guy!!
