14" 1950s Charming-swivel neck MOHAIR RABBIT glass eyes

14" 1950s Charming-swivel neck MOHAIR RABBIT glass eyes

This lovely petite pair has never been played with or undressed – their clothing only has the original holes from the tiny brass pins. "Mammy" has the bottom layer of her round foil label on the front of her apron. Incised on back: "Judy // Ann // (U.S.A. under pinned area)" with molded bangs, molded socks and shoes painted as black high button boots, four painted white dots for buttons. Perfect painted white & black eyes with long fine lashes, and tiny red mouth. Her long dress is mini-check woven red gingham under white apron – tied in back with white NASB ribbon. Center-seam panties and separate slip of fine cotton batiste. Matching shawl and kerchief intricately tied over her coarse black wig with low bun in back. "Baby" incised on back: "Story // Book // Doll // U.S.A. // 1". Lace-trimmed organdy short dress with separate petticoat and pinned diaper. Slightly curved arms with star-hands, gently bent legs with pointed toes on left leg. Darling "Baby" has perfect painted features with blue eyes, black pupils and lid lines, rosy cheeks and red bow mouth. The pair comes in an NASB small bow with blue-grey dots and cardboard neck brace;. An endearing pair, rare to find especially in this wonderful condition!!!
