Vintage Christmas Cotton Batting 4" CHILD on SLED Japan
So cute and petite in scale, this
4" child is all dressed in cotton batting and riding on a sled. He, or
she, measures 2.5" tall by 1.5" wide, on a sled 3.25" long. The child
is in excellent all-original condition with a hand-painted
papier-mache mask face with blue eyes and a smile. Snowsuit shows only
slight darkening from age, which just adds to the charm of this
vintage decoration! The sled is folded cardboard painted white and
dusted with glitter for the effect of snow & ice. Black cotton wool
forms the boots, and chenille forms the 'mittens' and red tie at the
chin. Green foil leaves with chenille 'berries' decorate the left side
over a red-bordered "Merry Christmas" sign. Stamped "Japan" on the
bottom
