9" ALL-BISQUE KEWPIE c1913 Signed Feet, Jointed Arms
This gorgeous all-bisque Rose O’Neill Kewpie circa 1913 is in beautiful condition. Signed “O’Neill” on bottom of feet, with jointed shoulders, Kewpie has top quality bisque and painting. His painted features are perfect with left-glancing black eyes, thick super-fine painted upper lashes and big watermelon grin with rosy plump cheeks. He’s blushed at elbows, hands, belly, toes, knees, ankles - even his tiny hiney is blushed. The brows are ochre while topknot and side puffs of hair are painted pale ochre, and tiny wings are sky blue. Kewpie has the left stringing loop rebuilt inside – one must look closely and still won’t be able to see it. This big eyed Kewpie is the cutest!!
