1890’s 22.5” 168 KESTNER Sleep Eyes Human Hair Wig
What a sweet-faced child! Her perfect character-look bisque head has no damage, and the fully jointed Kestner body has gorgeous original finish with a nice patina, stamped "Germany // 336 8". Her head is incised: “E 1/2. made in 9 1/2. // Germany. // 168. // 08." The open mouth has four hand-cut molded teeth, and her plump rosy cheeks and dimpled chin enhance the character look. Feathered brows and very fine painted lashes surround amber-brown glass sleep eyes; ears are not pierced. Newer honey-blonde human hair wig has a side-part and big pink satin bow. Original cloth ankle-tie shoes and pink open-knit socks blend perfectly with her pretty white-dotted pink dress with embroidered organdy appliqués and black velvet ties at the elbow. A matching silky slip and petti-pants complete the outfit, so she's ready for play or display!!
