7” STEIFF Walt Disney “PERRI” SQUIRREL Rare c.1965-67
Walt Disney Pictures made a
charming movie about the life of a squirrel named Perri. This rare and
hard-to-find squirrel is Perri #4317,03 (17cm – the medium size) as
interpreted by Steiff in mohair. He is in excellent condition with his
air-brushed velveteen acorn, four thick felt paws and bushy tail. His
mohair is tipped with brown, gold and grey for character, white felt
circles ring his shiny black plastic eyes and monofilament whiskers
that tickle. There are no bald patches, damage or repairs. A hole in
his ear from his Steiff button and the sewing loop for his chest tag
remain, but button & tags are missing. The tail is wired for posing.
